He currently  serves  as a chief Meteorologist for  Channel 3/3TV based in Phoenix, Arizona.  Also, Royal reports on 3TV News at 8 pm, 9 pm, as well as 10 pm on weekdays.  Prior to becoming the chief meteorologist, Royal served as the weekend meteorologist for the same channel. He is a certified meteorologist who holds the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval for both radio and television broadcasting.
