Steve Jerve is an American retired chief meteorologist who worked at WFLA News Channel 8 as a chief Meteorologist. He retired in August 2021. He was familiar with many faces as he provides their workday with weather forecast updates on News Channel 8 at 5 to 5:30 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts.

Dan Lucas is an American reporter and anchor. He is currently working at  NBC, WFLA News Channel 8 as a Sports Anchor. This is his 25th year of anchoring, reporting, producing, shooting, as well as editing. Dan hosts special programs, such as the Olympic Games as well as Stanley Cup Playoffs. Ian Oliver is an American meteorologist. He currently serves as a Meteorologist at FOX Weather. Ian joined the channel in September 2021.  Previously, he worked at WFLA-TV (NBC affiliate) as a Broadcast Meteorologist. As a child and when he was growing up, Ian always liked watching other broadcast meteorologists at WFLA-TV.

Keith Cate is an American reporter and anchor. He is currently working for WFLA since January 2000 and serves as co-anchor of News Channel 8 at 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm. Previously, in 1988 he went to Columbus, based in Ohio, working at WBNS-TV as a weekend anchor and investigative reporter. Keith’s award-winning, on-scene reporting, and anchoring have taken him nationwide and overseas. However, in  2016 he did President Barack Obama’s historic trip to Havana, located in Cuba. 

Kim Russell is an American journalist currently serving as a news reporter for WXYZ-TV in Detroit, Michigan. She joined the station’s news team in June 2011 and uses her career to inform as well as inspire action. In addition, Kim’s coverage of terrible conditions in Detroit Public Schools during emergency management made the national headlines.

Julie Phillips is a popular American Meteorologist anchor and reporter. Currently, Julie is working for the WFLA station based in Tampa, FL since June the year 2013. She joined WFLA as the weekend evening meteorologist. Additionally, she covers Monday to Friday at 4 Pm on channel 8 Pm on great 38. Previously, Julie served for KTXS based in Abilene, Texas for a period of 3 years.

David Espinosa Hall is a popular American news Anchor and reporter. He is currently serving at WFLA where he anchors News Channel 8 Today every morning from 4:30 a.m. until 7 a.m. and then from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on WTTA. In addition, you can also catch him again at 11 a.m. on WFLA.

Alicia Smith is an American news correspondent. She is currently working as the weekday co-anchor of Channel 7 Action News. Alicia co-hosts “This Morning Show” from 4:30 a.m.to 7:00 a.m. She started working at WXYZ in January 2007 as an anchor, reporter, as well as multi-media journalist.
