Zane Lamprey is an American producer, editor, actor, comedian, and writer for television and movies. Early in his career, the comedian worked on a number of projects for Comedy Central, VH1, as well as Nickelodeon. Also, Zane was a cast member on MTV’s Damage Control. At the same time, he hosted VH1’s reality show called Motormouth.

Zane Lamprey Three Sheets
His first television project was Three Sheets, an international travelogue/pub crawl series that originally aired on MOJO HD. The format of the show featured Zane traveling abroad learning about the origin of regional drinks as well as their drinking customs. On December 1, 2008, MOJO HD ceased operations and went off the air. From there, Zane worked to find a network to pick up Three Sheets.
A number of networks including the successor to the MOJO HD network, the Screaming Flea Productions were approached about buying the series. The comedian hosted a rally on December 16, 2008, to generate awareness of Three Sheets hoping to garner interest from other networks. The rally was held in Los Angeles, California, and attracted about 400 people. On December 18, 2008, a second relly was held in New York City bringing around 700 people.
Mark Cuban, the chairman of HDNet, was in attendance at the New York rally and he expressed interest in acquiring the show. Zane announced on May 2, 2009, that the Fine Living Network (FLN) had purchased Three Sheets. Originally, the show was to start airing on FLN on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 11:00 pm and 11:30 pm. However, it was delayed in the closure of the deal resulting in the premiere of the first two episodes of the nineteen-episode season being pushed to June 5, 2009.

On June 2, 2009, Zane announced that the deal was still not complete. FLN finally made the official announcement on June 22, that Three Sheets would start airing on July 20, 2009, and would air new episodes every Monday with rerun episodes scheduled to run from Tuesday to Friday. On his website, Zane said that the possibility of the show being picked up for a fifth season would depend on the ratings of Season 4, with a focus on the ratings of the premiere.
It was announced in October 2009, that FLN would be re-branded as Cooking Channel, with content the same as their sister channel Food Network. The re-branded network canceled Three Sheets and Zane again started the search for a new network. For a brief stint in 2010, the comedian did find a home for Three Sheets on the Travel Channel after fans flooded the Travel Channel’s official Facebook page with support for the show.
Travel Channel dropped Three Sheets one month later after its lineup. Three Sheets found home again on a new network with Spike TV in February 2011. The network aired the first seven episodes of the third season that initially aired on FLN. However, no further episodes have been shown since. Three Sheets was still listed on Spike TV’s official website as late as November 2014 despite being absent from the television network.
