Warren Lichtenstein (Full Name: Warren G. Lichtenstein ) is a popular American businessman and philanthropist who is the founder and executive chairman of Steel Partners Holdings L.P. (NYSE: SPLP). He also works as chairman of Steel Sports, Inc., an organization he created in 2011 that specialized in changing and improving the youth sports experience in America. He is also an executive chairman of Steel Connect.
Previously Warren worked as executive chairman of Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. Warren worked as a director of WebFinancial, a consumer and commercial lender, from 1996 until June 2005; as chairman and CEO, from December 1997 until June 2005; and as president, from December 1997 until December 2003. Before the creation of SPII in 1993, Warren co-founded Steel Partners, L.P., an investment partnership, in 1990 and co-managed its business and operations. He has worked as a director of over 30 public companies worldwide.
