Tim Minchin ( Full name: Timothy David Minchin AM) is an Australian comedian, writer, actor, musician, composer, poet, and songwriter. He is best known for his musical comedy. Tim has released six CDs, and five DVDs. He has performed live comedy shows internationally.
Also, the comedian has appeared on television in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Tim’s show called Darkside launched him into the public eye. The show achieved critical success at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the same year.

He was approached by director Matthew Warchus after Matthew saw his Ready for This? tour and hearing his song titled White Wine in the Sun. The musical premiered at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon from November 9, 2010, to 30 January 2011, and it started its West End run at the Cambridge Theatre on October 25, 2011, to great critical acclaim. He announced on August 30, 2018, that he would be returning to touring his musical comedy in a new tour called BACK, billed as Old Songs, New Songs, Fuck You Songs.
