Nia gained fame in 1991 after starring in the film Boyz n the Hood, and for portraying Beullah “Lisa” Wilkes on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air between 1991-1995.
She later appeared in Friday in 1995 and in the films Love Jones and Soul Food in 1997.
