Steve Richards is a British political columnist and TV presenter. He has written columns for various publications such as New Statesman, Independent, the Guardian, and Spectator. Steve regularly presents Radio 4’s Week in Westminster. Also, he serves as the host of a one-man show called Rock N Roll Politics. He previously worked in local radio and regional TV in Newcastle.
Later, Steve become a BBC political correspondent in 1990. Six years later, he became Political Editor for the New Statesman. At the same time, Steve continued to present on radio and TV. He became a political columnist at The Independent and Independent on Sunday in 2000.
