Steve Raible ( Full Name: Steven Carl Raible ) is a popular American retired player currently working as a play-by-play radio announcer for the Seahawks Radio Network. Previously Steve worked as a weeknight news anchor at KIRO 7 in Seattle, Washington, up to his retirement in 2020. During Seahawks’ first six seasons Steve was their wide receiver.
He was a second round selection during the 1976 NFL Draft (59th overall). Steve took part as a wide receiver for six seasons, from 1976 until 1981, all under head coach Jack Patera. Steve also hosted the television coverage of the Seafair hydroplane races and Blue Angels aired during the debut weekend of August annually in Seattle. He shaved his popular mustache in March 2008 following KIRO-TV changed to a high definition news operation.
