Simon Clark is an English educational YouTuber, author, and vlogger. He finished his Ph.D. in theoretical atmospheric physics at the University of Exeter. Prior to this, he studied physics at St Peter’s College, University of Oxford, obtaining his master’s degree and specializing in theoretical and atmospheric physics.
Simon started to create YouTube videos in 2010, on his YouTube channel SimonOxfPhys. He started to create YouTube videos in 2010, initially focusing on helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds apply to prestigious universities. The videos specifically focused on giving an insider’s perspective on the admissions process. He also coached applicants through the interview process at Oxford and Cambridge.
After moving to Exeter for his Ph.D., Simon’s video output changed to focus more on science, including two educational series about the physics of the atmosphere and the cryosphere and vlogging about life as a graduate student.
