Shemar Moore is a popular American actor known due to his roles as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless from 1994 to 2005, Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds from 2005 to 2016, and the lead role of Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T. since 2017 all on CBS. He became also the third permanent host of Soul Train, from 1999 until 2003.
Shemar has received eight NAACP Image Awards and the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series due to his work on The Young and the Restless. In 2016, Shemar became nominated for a People’s Choice Award due to his work on Criminal Minds.
