Some of Scott’s best work is a one-hour documentary he produced on the D-Day invasion. He was in the Normandy region of France in the spring of 1994 to mark the 50th anniversary and heard tremendous tales of bravery from very courageous men.
He once broke the story of an elderly woman at a private nursing home. The owner of the home found the woman slumped in a chair. The woman was declared dead and taken to a funeral home where she woke up on the embalming table! What seemed like a quirky local feature snowballed into an international headline-grabber involving unlicensed nursing homes as well as declaration-of-death laws.
