Sanjeev Kohli is a British actor, comedian, and writer. He became famous for his role as shopkeeper Navid Harrid in the BBC sitcom Still Game from 2002 to 2007 and from 2016 to 2019.

Sanjeev also played Ramesh Majhu in the radio sitcom Fags, Mags and Bags from 2007 to present, and A.J. Jandhu in the BBC Scotland soap opera River City from 2015 to present. He has hosted his own television talk show Sanjeev Kohli’s Big Talk, on the BBC Scotland channel since 2019.

He was born in London to his parents who had emigrated to the United Kingdom in the 1960s from India. Sanjeev’s mother was a social worker and his father was a teacher who became a wealthy property landlord in the Bishopbriggs suburb.

When he was three years old, the family moved to Scotland. Sanjeev’s parents could afford to move him, aged six, and his brothers Hardeep Singh and Randeep Singh to be educated by the Jesuits at St Aloysius’ College. To pay for their children’s education, their parents ran a corner shop.
