Rodney Marsh ( Full name: Rodney William Marsh ) is a retired English footballer and football coach. He currently serves as the co-host of a radio show called Grumpy Pundits on Sirius XM. After his retirement from playing and coaching, Rodney worked as a broadcaster. During his playing career between 1971 and 1973, he won nine caps for England scoring one international goal. While growing up in the East End of London, Rodney played youth football for West Ham United.
In March 1963, he made his professional debut with Fulham. In 63 First Division games, Rodney scored 22 goals. He then fell out with the management and in March 1966 took a £15,000 transfer to Queens Park Rangers. Rodney helped the club to the 1967 League Cup and also to consecutive promotions in the Third Division and Second Division. Rodney was sold to Manchester City for £200,000 in March 1972.
Although he featured in the 1974 League Cup final defeat, his time in Manchester was largely disappointing. As a result, Rodney left the UK the following year and went to play for the American club Tampa Bay Rowdies. From 1984 to 1986, he went on to coach the club after he had a successful career with the Rowdies.
