She has earned several journalistic awards for her work. Prior to KATU, Rhonda worked at KOMO-TV in Seattle as an associate producer.
During her five years there, she helped produce shows and special projects about faith healing with her colleague John Larson. Rhonda also received the United Press International Award for “Best Feature Story”. Rhonda is an honorary board member of the Portland and SW Washington Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
