Prabal Gurung is a Nepalese-American fashion designer currently based in New York City. He launched his PRABAL GURUNG Collection during Fashion Week in February 2009 with the FLAG Art Collection.
As a designer, he has worked with MAC Cosmetics (2014), Lane Bryant (2017), first lady Michelle Obama and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Gurung has been awarded numerous awards such as the 2010 Ecco Domani Fashion Fund Award, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award (2012), and also the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear (2011).
