Heyman became a commentator for the WWF on Raw Is War, replacing Jerry Lawler. During his tenure, he resumed his storyline rivalry with Jim Ross. Heyman recreated ECW as a stable while attaining his commentator role which then immediately merged with Shane McMahon’s WCW to form the Alliance during the Invasion angle.

He made his managerial debut on January 2, 1987, at the urging of Bigelow initially appearing on the Northeast independent circuit. Hayman then joined forces with Kevin Sullivan and Oliver Humperdink and acquired the name Paul E. The Paul E. Dangerously gimmick was an extension of Heyman’s own personality. Additionally, after departing the AWA, Heyman went back to the CWA.

Heyman then returned to WWE on the May 7, 2012 episode of Raw as Brock Lesnar’s legal advisor. He had no interest at first in returning to WWE, as he still felt he held bad blood with a lot of the staff. he confronted Triple H, handing him a lawsuit from Lesnar for breaching of contract. He was Lesnar’s sole manager from 2014 to 2020.
In addition, he continued to represent Lesnar up to WrestleMania 36, when Drew McIntyre defeated him for the WWE Championship in quick fashion. Lesner then opted not to sign a new contract. He left his professional wrestling career in uncertainty due to him becoming a “free agent”.
