Nikki Lilly Life Expectancy | Story
The beautiful Nikki was a seemingly normal, happy child enjoying life to the full. Suddenly, large veins started appearing on the right side of her face when she was 6 years old. A facial swelling and terrible bleeding from her nose and gums followed shortly after. After undergoing so many tests, it was found that Nikki had been born with a high-flow craniofacial AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation).
As of 2019, she has had 70 major operations over the last 7 years and has visited Great Ormond Street more than 350 times, just to manage her symptoms.
