Before joining Geographic, Nadia served in a clinical genetics lab at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She then returned to her Almer mater for her Ph.D. in genetics and development.
In 2016, her article titled “Scientists in Flying Telescope Race to Intercept Pluto’s Shadow” won her the Jonathan Eberhart Planetary Sciences Journalism Award. The article appeared on National Geographic’s website on July 3, 2015. The High Energy Astrophysics Division of the American Astronomical Society awarded Nadia the 2017 David N.
