Mike Maniscalco is an American sportscaster. He currently serves as a play-by-play for the Hurricanes. It was reported in July 2020 that the Carolina Hurricanes had not come to terms with their play-by-play John Forslund on a new deal. The team later announced that Mike, an on-ice reporter would take over play-by-play roles for the team’s games on FOX Sports Carolinas.
Mike became part of the Canes’ television crew at the start of the 2016-2017 season. Before that, he worked for Buzz Sports Radio and 99.9 the Fan in Raleigh. While there, Mike hosted pre and postgame coverage of the team. Also, he served as an on-ice reporter, hosted intermission reports, as well as pre-game coverage on FOX Sports Carolinas. However, the team did not commit to Mike remaining in the play-by-play seat beyond the end of the 2020 season.

He joined the Hurricanes on October 12, 2016, as a TV/Web Host. The anouncement was made by the President of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes called Don Waddell.
