Matt Besser (Full name: Matthew Gregory) is an American actor, comedian, director, producer, and writer. He is best known as one of the four founding members of the Upright Citizens Brigade sketch comedy troupe, who had their own show on Comedy Central from 1998 to 2000. Matt currently hosts the improvisation-based podcast Improv4humans on the Earwolf podcasting network.
As an actor and writer, he is known for Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Drillbit Taylor (2008), and Upright Citizens Brigade (1998). He played Jerry, a friend of Phil and Claire Dunphy’s, in “Halloween” and “Won’t You Be Our Neighbor”.
