She kicked off her journalism career by working as a radio personality at WBAB, however, she later left and joined WLIR. Lynda later joined WXXP-FM as an Assistant Program Director and Music Director. She also worked as a Disk Jockey for WKTU during the 10 PM-2 AM timeslot.
Half a decade later she was hired as an entertainment correspondent for WPIX’s morning show. Lynda worked as a news anchor at WCBS Radio in Manhattan until August 2013, before moving to work for her sister Jennifer Lopez in Los Angeles. A year later she returned to Manhattan.

She first appeared in Television in the late 90s, when she was hired as a Video Jockey at VH1 alongside Kane and Rebecca Rankin. In 2000, Lynda interviewed her sister Jennifer, where they discussed their childhood as well as Jennifer’s rising music career. Lynda also worked at WB11 in New York City, where she served as the morning news entertainment reporter.

She was later replaced by Christina Park, a former CNN Headline News anchor. Lynda later returned to WWOR as a weekend anchor, however, she left television after the station ended the weekend newscasts.
