She worked at the station as the first woman sideline reporter where she covered the Super Bowl XXIX and Super Bowl XXXIV for ABC. During her stay at the station, she surfed as a reporter for the NFL playoffs games and college football bowl games during the Wild Card Saturday. At ESPN she contributed to the Monday Night Countdown, SportsCenter, and NFL GameDay as well as reporting for the College basketball and super bowls.
Her career life kicked off at CBS Sports as a part-time sportscaster and was later employed as a full-time in 1987. She reported special assignments for the NBA like college basketball and NBA finals, MLB, Final Four, world series, hose riding, and the U.S open tennis.
Additionally, she served as a sideline reporter for the Super Bowl XLI as well as a reporter for The Super Bowl Today. Lesley appeared on NBC Sports where she reported on the summer Olympics in 2004. She was named as the first female analyst for the NFL broadcast booth after the 2001 NFL season
