Les Stroud is a Canadian-born filmmaker, podcaster, survival expert, and musician. He currently serves as the host of a podcast called Surviving Life. Les is best known as the host of the television series titled Survivorman which he also serves as its creator, writer, producer, director, and cameraman. Scouts Canada named Les the Chief Scout on November 22, 2021.
He became a full-time wilderness guide following a short career behind the scenes in the music industry. Les is also a survival instructor and musician based in Huntsville, Ontario. He has produced survival-themed programming for The Science Channel, The Discovery Channel, The Outdoor Life Network, and YTV.
