Kellie Carter Jackson is an American professor, historian, podcaster, author, and writer. She serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Africana Studies at Wellesley College. Formerly, Kellie was a Newhouse Faculty Fellow for the Center of the Humanities at the same college.
Her research focuses primarily on slavery and the abolitionists, black women’s history, historical film, and violence as a political discourse. Currently, Kellie sits on the scholarly advisory board for the Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History and serves as a Historian-in-Residence for the Museum of African American History in Boston.
