Karen Holmes ( Full name Karen Holmes Ward) is an American reporter and anchor. She currently works at WCVB as their Director of Public Relations and Community Services. Karen also serves as an executive producer of CityLine which is WCVB’s award-winning weekly magazine program. She was featured in the 2018 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

She has received many awards for her efforts in the community such as; the Boston Jaycees Ten Outstanding Young Leaders Award, ‘Silver Circle Award for Lifetime Achievement, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts President’s Award, Big Sister of Greater Boston Achievement Award, MassVote’s ‘Champion of Democracy, among others. In addition, Karen has been a mentor to some nonprofit groups, assisting them in learning how they can use the power of television to advance their causes.
