Juan Manuel Márquez is a Mexican retired professional boxer. Since 2011, he has been a commentator on the ESPN boxing show called Golpe a Golpe. Also, Juan makes an appearance in the 2005 video game Fight Night Round 2.
He competed from 1993 to 2014 and is the third Mexican boxer to become a world champion in four weight classes (after Érik Morales and Jorge Arce) having held nine world championships i.e IBF, the WBA (Super), and WBO featherweight titles between 2003 and 2007.
Also, Juan held the WBC super featherweight title from 2007 to 2008. Between 2008 and 2012, he held the WBO, WBA (Super), Ring magazine, as well as lineal lightweight titles. From 2012 to 2013, Juan held the WBO junior welterweight title. In 2020, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
