Josh Wolf (full name: Joshua Selassie “Josh” Wolf) is an American freelance investigative journalist and internet blogger known for upholding the highest possible journalistic standards and ethics.
On August 1, 2006, Josh was jailed by a Federal district court for refusing to turn over a collection of videotapes he recorded during a July 2005 demonstration in San Francisco, California. He was sentenced to the Federal Correctional Institution, Dublin where he served 226 days.
After releasing the video outtakes to the public the United States District Judge William Alsup ordered his release on April 3, 2007. A year later after his release, Josh was hired at Palo Alto Daily Post where he reported on the San Mateo County government.
