John Miller ( Full Name: John J. Miller ) is a popular American award-winning journalist who works as the Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst for CNN since 2022. He is also the co-author of “The Cell: Inside the 9/11 plot” (Hyperion, 2002) which is the New York Times bestseller. Previously, John worked as Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence & Counterterrorism of the New York Police Department (NYPD). John was also recognized as the retired Associate Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Analytic Transformation and Technology.
He also worked as an Assistant Director of Public Affairs for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he became the bureau’s national spokesman. He is also a retired ABC News reporter and anchorman, perhaps well known for covering a May 1998 interview with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan. John was named a senior correspondent for CBS News on October 17, 2011. In this role, John covered for all CBS News platforms and broadcasts, such as CBS This Morning and occasionally for 60 Minutes.
