He joined CBS sports station in 1985 and initially worked as a studio host for the network’s college football and basketball coverage. Jim has also anchored CBS’s coverage of the Master’s Tournament since 1989. He and Billy Packer teamed up to call the NCAA Final Four men’s basketball finals.
