Jim Breyer ( Full Name: James W. Breyer ) is a popular American venture capitalist and investor who is the founder and CEO of an investment and venture philanthropy firm Breyer Capital. He has invested in more than 40 companies that have gone public or finished a merger, with some of these investments, such as Facebook, earning more than 100 times the cost and many others more than 25 times the cost.
On the Forbes 2021 list of the 400 wealthiest Americans, Jim was ranked #389, with a net worth of US$2.9 billion. Previously, Jim was a managing partner at Accel Partners, a venture capital firm. Jim has led many Series A investments, such as Etsy, Clinkle, and Circle Internet Financial. Jim has also led investments in Legendary Pictures and Spotify.
