Jeff Van Gundy (Jeffrey William Van Gundy) is an American former basketball coach and Sportscaster. As of now, he serves as a color commentator for NBA at ESPN. He joined the station in 2007 as an analyst for the NBA. Jeff has served as a head coach for 22 years from 1985 to 2007.
He coached the McQuaid Jesuit HS, Providence, New York Knicks, Rutgers, and Houston Rockets. In addition, he led the US men’s national basketball team to win the gold medal at the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup and also qualified for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
