Jeff Andrews is an American Meteorologist. His interest in the weather started at a young age. His parents noticed his fascination with different weather events and they bought a small weather station kit for Christmas. Jeff’s weather interest went on hold for a while he pursued a radio career as a disc jockey. He went into radio management on the programming side as well.
Jeff’s radio career included stops in Nashville, Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and many other spots. His tv career started in Rockford, IL. Jeff has worked as a Meteorologist as well in Redding/Chico, CA (home of Aaron Rodgers), Medford, OR, and Monroe, LA. He started his career by working as an Operations Manager at Townsquare Media from Mar 2016 to Mar 2018. He then became a Meteorologist/MMJM at KRCR ABC 7KRCR ABC 7 from Mar 2018 to Apr 2019.
Jeff worked as a Morning Meteorologist at KTVL-News Channel 10 from Mar 2019 to Dec 2020. From Jan 2020 to Mar 2021, he was a Morning Meteorologist at KNOE-TV8. He became part of the KPLC 7 News First Alert Weather team in 2022 after he left WTVQ-TV in Lexington, Ky. At WTVQ-TV, Jeff served as the Chief Meteorologist. This native of Madison, Wis is familiar with the snow versus the heat and humidity that Southwest Louisiana is known for. Also, Jeff lived in Alabama and Tennessee, among other places, so the heat is not new to him. He worked at KNOE in Monroe during the active 2020 hurricane season.
The meteorologist had an unusual fascination with the weather in grade school. Jeff’s parents bought him a weather station to replace other odd weather instruments the young Jeff used to gather weather mornings before school. Jeff did a lot of public speaking in church, talent shows, and sporting events as he made his way through grade school and high school. The weather took to the background as Jeff embarked on a long radio career that took him coast-to-coast.
This opportunity to do tv weather was inevitable. Jeff joined the weather team at WTVO in Rockford, Ill in 2015. From there, he went to work at KRCR in Redding-Chico, Calif., Oregon, Wisconsin, and sister-station KNOE in Monroe, He then went to work in Kentucky.
