JayStation or ImJayStation (Full name: Jason Matthew Ethier) is a Canadian Internet personality and YouTuber. He was primarily known for his controversial 24-hour challenges videos.
Jason is commonly accused of leeching the deaths of several influencers and was involved in sexual harassment allegations. He has also been arrested for committing trespassing and YouTube officially terminated his channel.

Subsequent videos—originally presented as genuine by Jason—show him visiting a makeshift memorial and attempting to contact her from the grave by using an ouija board.

Jason admitted that the entire situation was a hoax that was intended to increase his subscriber and viewer counts and that he had planned to “resurrect” her in a later video. Alexia ended her relationship with Jason after the controversy and has since deleted her YouTube channel.

Jason has been heavily criticized for his 3 AM videos, which notably have been known for being staged and completely fake, and Jason was one of the notable YouTubers to do 3 AM videos and be known for faking them. Jason received negative responses within the YouTube community over his attempts to contact dead celebrities such as XXXTentacion and Mac Miller.
He did this through paranormal activities, notably ouija boards and “spirit boxes” late at night known as “3 a.m. challenges”. On June 26, 2019, following the death of YouTuber Etika, he uploaded a video using a similar clickbait title as his previous videos. In this video, Jason apologized for the content of his past ouija board and celebrity death clickbait videos.

In 2021, Jason began begging YouTube to bring back his channel. On September 16 he tweeted “Just spoke to Dr. Phil! He said he could help me come back to youtube if I don’t make the same kind of videos as I did before! I want to make home renovation videos now. I won’t let you down Dr. Phil thank you so much.”
He followed with another tweet that said “I’ll let you know what will happen but guys I hope you understand I can’t make the same content anymore. I really want to make home renovation videos now. I am just thankful to get another opportunity. Dr. Phil said he will put me in touch with YouTube execs. Pray for me guys.” Jason in July, he had posted a video saying that he was a new person and had changed.

In 2016, he was arrested by Ottawa police for trespassing during some of his “24-hour overnight challenges”, which showed him allegedly breaking and entering into empty homes, stadiums, and office buildings to spend the night. Jason’s YouTube channel was demonetized following his arrest. On November 24, 2016, he then restarted YouTube under the channel name “ImJayStation”, re-uploading all of his content except the ones relating to his trespassing. His channel name was derived from PlayStation, a brand of video game consoles designed by Sony.
Jason’s original JayStation channel had earned 475,000 subscribers before being shut down. He continued to create content on the ImJayStation channel, which had 6 million subscribers. He launched his original channel in June 2015.
