Jay Cost is an American journalist, conservative political historian, and elections analyst. He currently writes for National Review and The Weekly Standard. Previously, Jay wrote “HorseRaceBlog” at RealClearPolitics and has also written widely on the influence of big business in American politics, political parties, the Founding, and civic virtues among other topics.
Jay released a book titled Spoiled Rotten: How the Politics of Patronage Corrupted the Once Noble Democratic Party and Now Threatens the American Republic in 2012.
