Jamie Theakston ( Full name: James Paul Theakston ) is an English tv presenter, producer, and actor. He currently serves as a co-host of the national breakfast show on Heart Radio with Amanda Holden. From 2003 to 2015, Jamie narrated the BBC documentary series Traffic Cops. He did the same on Channel 5 from 2016 onwards.
The journalist has also hosted several television programs for various channels such as Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, and the BBC. Jamie has won a BAFTA for Live & Kicking and holds other numerous awards for his radio work including a SONY GOLD, 2 New York Radio Festival Awards, 3 TRIC awards, 2 ARQIVA Awards, 4 Bronze awards, and 3 Silver Awards

Prior to embarking on a broadcasting career, Jamie worked for auctioneers Christie’s and wanted to study art history at the Courtauld Institute. However, the BBC’s head of sport sported him and took him in to present GLR’s Saturday Sports Show at the age of 23 after undertaking football and cricket reports for GLR and Radio 5 Live. Later, Jamie presented countless shows for Radio 5 Live such as Sportscall, The Jamie Theakston Cricket Show, and also Sport on Wednesday.
In April 1999, he joined Radio 1 to present the Sunday Lunch show. The journalist fronted the ‘One Big Sunday’ events in 2000 before moving to a Saturday morning slot in the following year.
