James Durbin is a well-known American singer and guitarist originally from Santa Cruz, California. He is famously known for being placed number four on the tenth season of American Idol in 2011. Furthermore, he was the lead singer for the heavy metal band Quiet Riot for two years, that was from 2017 to 2019.
In 2006, Durbin performed at “Kids on Broadway” which is a Santa Cruz children’s theater group. There, he played the leading role in Beauty and the Beast and Grease. A year later he joined the All About Theatre, where he was assigned the roles of Tony in West Side Story and Oscar in Sweet Charity. In 2008, Durbin was Featured in Alan Parsons’ “Art & Science of Sound Recording,” which was an educational series, featuring a version of Parsons.
