Jack Edwards ( Full name: John William Edwards ) is an American sportscaster. He currently serves as a television play-by-play commentator for the Boston Bruins on NESN. Previously, Jack worked for ESPN as an anchor for their sports news program called SportsCenter. He worked for the network from 1991 to 2003.
He as well served as the station’s play-by-play commentator for their 2002 FIFA World Cup broadcasts, Little League Baseball, NHL, and MLS. Also, Jack provided commentary for the Konami game MLS Extra Time 2002. He launched his journalism career by serving as a play-by-play announcer for the University of New Hampshire hockey team.
From there, Jack moved on to play-by-play and sports anchor positions at WGIR radio and also WMUR-TV based in Manchester, New Hampshire.
