Hilary Jones ( Hilary Robert Jones MBE ) is an English general practitioner, writer on medical issues, and presenter. He is best known for his media appearances most often on television. Jones has written for News of the World and The Sun on Sunday magazines. The Hammersmith, London native was the only medical officer on Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic in 1978.
After he went back to the UK, Hilary became a junior doctor at Basingstoke Hospital. He became a full-time Principal General Practitioner in the Basingstoke area in 1982. Hilary became a GP Trainer in 1987. He still practiced part-time as a National Health Service (NHS) general practitioner as of 2010.
