Hafize Gaye Erkan is an American-Turkish accountant and banker who is the current governor of the Central Bank of Turkey. Before, Hafize was a Member Board of Directors of Marsh McLennan and an Advisory Board of the Operations Research & Financial Engineering Department, at Princeton University.
Hafize also worked as a co-CEO and President of First Republic Bank and was a member of the company’s board of directors. She also served as CEO of Greystone & Co Inc, a New York-based national real estate finance company that serves the seniors housing industry. From 2019 to 2021, Hafize was a a board member at Tiffany & Co. She started her profession as a Managing Director, and Head of IBD FIG Strats at Goldman Sachs. Hafize earned Princeton University’s Gordon Y.S. Wu Fellowship for graduate study in engineering. She was honored by Boğaziçi University in 2001 as the “Best Student in the Last Ten Years”.
