Ginny Ryan is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as a News Anchor at 13 WHAM-TV. Ginny has been working for the channel for more than three decades. She joined 13 WHAM-TV in Oct 1987. Since then, Genny has been serving as a News Anchor and Co-Anchor of the 5:00 and 11:00 newscasts. Prior to joining her current channel, Ginny worked as a Reporter/News Anchor at WENY-TV. She served the channel for a period of two years, from 1985 to 1987.
While in college, Ginny anchored Campus Television Station and had an internship as the New York State Secretary of State’s Office, she interned at WROC-TV8, WBBF-AM, and WIVB-TV. She also worked as the Secretary of Health and Human Services before she became worked at a Speech Writer’s Office in Washington, D.C. Ginny was always seeking any possible opportunity to “tell stories.” Ginny got her first professional job at WENY-TV based in Elmira, New York.
She worked there even before graduating from college. There, she was a reporter and anchor. After that, Ginny secured another job opportunity and was hired by 13WHAM in 1987.
