Gavin McInnes Bio | Wiki
Gavin McInnes ( Full name: Gavin Miles McInnes) is a Canadian podcaster, writer, and far-right political commentator. He currently serves as the founder and host of the Get Off My Lawn Podcast on the online video platform Censored. TV. In 1994, Gavin co-founded Vice at the age of 24 and relocated to the United States of America in 2001.
During his time at Vice, Davin was called a leading figure in the New York hipster subculture. He however left Vice in 2008 and became increasingly known for his far-right political views. In more recent years, the podcaster has drawn attention for his far-right political activism. Also, his role as the founder of the Proud Boys has gained him such fame. It is a men’s rights and male-only organization that Southern Poverty Law Center classifies as a “general hate” organization. However, Gavin has rejected this classification stating that the group is “not an extremist group and [does] not have ties with white nationalists”. Although Gavin has been accused of promoting violence against political opponents, he has claimed that he only has supported political violence in self-defense. He states that he is not far-right or a supporter of fascism.
Blaze Media fired Davin in 2018 and was banned from social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram after he violated terms of use related to promoting violent extremist groups as well as hate speech.
