Ed Helms (Full Name: Edward Parker Helms) is a popular American actor, comedian, singer, writer, and producer. From 2002 until 2006 Edward was a correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Edward played paper salesman Andy Bernard in the NBC sitcom The Office (2006–2013) and starred as Stuart Price in The Hangover trilogy. He afterward starred in the comedy series Rutherford Falls (2021–2022), which he co-wrote.
Edward has received six Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series winning in 2008. In addition, Edward also received a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Writing for a Comedy or Variety Special for The Fake News with Ted Nelms (2018). Following graduating from Oberlin, Edward began his comedy and acting career as a writer and performer with New York City sketch comedy bands.
Edward also studied improvisation with the Upright Citizens Brigade troupe. He concurrently worked as a trainee film editor at Crew Cuts, a post-production facility in New York City.
