Currently, Dontrelle works as a special assistant in player development at Los Angeles Dodgers since May 2022.
Before, Dontrelle worked as an MLB studio analyst for FOX Sports. He was known for his success during his first few years in the major leagues and for his unconventional pitching style, which comprised a high leg kick and exaggerated twisting away from the batter. Dontrelle was named the 2003 National League Rookie of the Year.
