Desmond Howard (Full Name: Desmond Kevin Howard) is a well-known American former football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. As of now, Desmond works as a college football analyst at ESPN and the color commentator for Detroit Lions pre-season games on the Detroit Lions Television Network. He also played college football at Michigan, where Desmond won the Heisman Trophy as a senior.
Chosen fourth overall in the 1992 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, he spent most of his career on special teams as a return specialist.
