Dave Crawley is an American author, journalist, and poet. He is currently working at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,  as a feature reporter. Dave is the author of the acclaimed Cat Poems as well as Dog Poems. Dave has authored a book titled “Sidelights on Wisconsin”. His stories in rhyme have been treasured for many years and made him an Emmy-Award winner.

It claimed that claims KDKA and CBS Corp retaliated against Dave for his workers’ compensation claim filed because of the injuries. It also alleged age discrimination and retaliation against the journalist by the station and its corporate owners. However, CBS officials failed to immediately respond to messages seeking comment. Dave has worked for more than 40 years in the television industry. He has been serving as a special assignments reporter with KDKA since 1988.

Dave’s suit contends that since the injury, the journalist had been urged by KDKA to resign and the station didn’t renew his contract. According to the suit, CBS has “vigorously contested” his workers’ compensation claim since 2017. Also, CBS attempted to “erase” Dave’s legacy at KDKA, which, according to the suit, Dave appears just once in a blurry group photo in the 70-year anniversary specials of the station produced in 2019. The specials drew largely from content that the journalist helped to create for an earlier 50-year celebration of the station, which Dave wrote and narrated ( according to the lawsuit.). The lawsuit states that the elimination of Dave from the station’s history has damaged his professional reputation and caused him “significant emotional and mental anguish.”
