She tested positive for Covid earlier this year and she was totally sick while she had the infection. So sad to say in her case, the symptoms lingered for a while. Several people may be familiar with COVID long-haulers, or post-COVID syndrome, which is what she experienced.
Christy tried to go back to work, but it was very difficult for her to anchor the newscasts while experiencing the lingering shortness of breath. She decided to take a leave when it was apparent to her that her body was not keeping up.
At the moment, Christy is very happy to say that she is feeling MUCH better after taking the last few months to recover. She also feels beyond fortunate to have had the time and chance to do so.
