Currently, she is a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Rushing was confirmed to this position by the Senate in March 2019 after her nomination by President Donald Trump in August 2018. She is viewed as a favorite to become Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
