Ade Edmondson ( Full Name: Adrian Charles Edmondson) is a preeminent English writer and television presenter, musician, comedian, and actor. In the early 1980s, he was part of the alternative comedy boom. Furthermore, Ade had roles in the television series Bottom (1991–1995) and The Young Ones (1982–1984). These two, he wrote together with Rik Mayall, his collaborative partner. He also appeared in The Comic Strip Presents… series of films throughout the 1980s and 1990s. For one episode of this, Ade created Bade News, the spoof heavy metal band. For another, he played his nihilistic alter-ego Eddie Monsoon.

Meera also portrayed Sanjeev’s grandmother, Ummi, in The Kumars at No. 42. She became one of the UK’s best-known Asian personalities.
