Brenda Ladun is an American journalist. She currently serves as an evening news anchor for ABC 33/40. Prior to that, Brenda worked at WBRC 6 from 1987 to 1996 as the station’s anchor and reporter. She is a five-time winner of the Alabama Associated Press Awards due to her Best Investigative Reports as well as Best Specialized Reporter. She has another award for being the Best Anchor.
In 2001 Brenda was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a series of chemotherapies. Throughout her recovery journey, she took up running and competed in some marathons. Unfortunately, in 2007, cancer returned after a period of apparent remission. But she never gave up and Brenda points to her faith as the foundation of her strength to fight the disease.
