She came back home to Richmond to CBS 6 in 2019, after over a decade of traveling the country professionally as a journalist, as an anchor on CBS 6 News at 4, and as an investigative reporter. During her internship at WTVR in 2006, Bree launched her career in TV news. For a period of three years, she served as a one-man-band reporter and anchor at WMBB in Panama City, Florida.
Later on, while working as the morning anchor at WEAR in Pensacola, she reported the Gulf Oil Spill of 2010 from the ground and from the air. Bree field anchoring live for around two months straight and kept viewers up to date on where the oil was and what the Coast Guard and BP were doing to protect the beach.
She also served as a General Assignment Reporter and anchor at WBZ, the CBS-owned station, for a period of four years. At that time, she covered the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school, the Boston Marathon bombings, manhunt and recovery, the case against Aaron Hernandez, a Red Sox World Series win, a Patriots Super Bowl win, Deflategate, a deadly nationwide meningitis outbreak, as well as approximately 75 snow storms too many.
